The temperament sheet
Energy is rated high: the Dobermann expects genuine daily exercise and a purpose to go with it. Tolerance for time alone is poor — this breed attaches itself firmly to its people, and the sheet is blunt about long absences. Households out all day should read that line twice before going further.
With children the rating is needs supervision, which asks for an adult present rather than ruling anything out. As a first dog the answer is no: the matcher lists the Dobermann for owners with dog-keeping years already behind them. A garden is required; the space rating leaves no room for a flat.
