The temperament sheet
Energy is rated high, and the register’s line explains the flavour: exuberance that outlasts puppyhood by years. Plan for real daily exercise and a dog that joins in with everything the family does. Tolerance for time alone is rated moderate — reasonable working absences can be managed, though this is company-keeping energy, not furniture.
With children the Boxer rates excellent — the top of the scale — and playful is the first word of its register entry, so the pairing is no accident. The sheet carries a yes for first-time owners, and space is marked needs-garden: the table wants room behind this much dog.
The practical side
