Bichon Frise
A cheerful white powder-puff companion descended from Mediterranean sailing dogs — the register's line on the Bichon Frise, and the cheerfulness is the point of the breed.
The temperament sheet
Energy is rated moderate: daily walks and a proper game meet the requirement, with no athletic ambitions beyond that. What the sheet is firm about is company. Tolerance for being left alone is rated poor, and a Bichon routinely left to its own devices is a Bichon shortchanged — the cheerfulness in its register line assumes somebody is there to share it.
Children get a good rating, first-time owners get a yes, and space is marked flat-ok. As household arithmetic goes, that is a friendly row of cells — a breed the matcher can place in many ordinary homes without stretching a single value.
The practical side
A small dog whose coat asks for real commitment: grooming is rated high, and the powder-puff look is the product of regular work, not luck. Shedding is rated low in return. Barking sits at moderate — present, not relentless.
